VZ Torque(TM)

VZ Torque(TM) is the most comprehensive quarter turn, explosion proof , fail safe/battery backup, electric actuator line in the industry.  From 442 in-lb to 26,650 in-lb we have you covered!  It is exclusively offered to customers by VanZandt Controls/Eagle Automation


Description:

VZ Torque(TM) series actuators are failsafe electric actuators. When power is lost to the actuator, a battery (2,655 in-lb and above) or supercapacitor (1,770 in-lb and below) will drive the actuator to preset fail position such as full open or full close. Fail position is field selectable.

  • Quarter turn operation (VZT-442 can do 180 deg)
  • Heavy duty motor with thermal overload protection
  • Rugged IP68/NEMA 4X aluminum alloy housing
  • C3 level corrosion resistance with powder coated,1000 hours salt spray
  • CSA CLS 1 DIV 1 GRP C and D, T5
  • Self-locking high strength gear train to keep last known position
  • Standard ISO5211 direct installation
  • Manual override with handwheel
  • Installation at any angle
  • Heater for eliminating condensation
  • SUPERCAPCITOR Failsafe option now available
  • with over torque protection switch
